Surah Az-Zalzalah (Arabic: سورة Az-Zalzalah, "The Earthquake") is the 99 chapter (surah) of the Qur'an, containing 8 verses (ayahs). It is classified as a Meccan Surah, meaning it is historically understood to have been revealed during the Meccan Period (610–622 CE) of the prophecy.

Text and Translation
Verse 99:1
اِذَا زُلۡزِلَتِ الۡاَرۡضُ زِلۡزَالَهَاۙ
idhā zul'zilati l-arḍu zil'zālahā
When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake
Verse 99:2
وَاَخۡرَجَتِ الۡاَرۡضُ اَثۡقَالَهَاۙ
wa-akhrajati l-arḍu athqālahā
And the earth discharges its burdens
Verse 99:3
وَقَالَ الۡاِنۡسَانُ مَا لَهَاۚ
waqāla l-insānu mā lahā
And man says, "What is [wrong] with it
Verse 99:4
يَوۡمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخۡبَارَهَاؕ
yawma-idhin tuḥaddithu akhbārahā
That Day, it will report its news
Verse 99:5
بِاَنَّ رَبَّكَ اَوۡحٰي لَهَاؕ
bi-anna rabbaka awḥā lahā
Because your Lord has commanded it
Verse 99:6
يَوۡمَئِذٍ يَّصۡدُرُ النَّاسُ اَشۡتَاتًا ۙ لِّيُرَوۡا اَعۡمَالَهُمۡؕ
yawma-idhin yaṣduru l-nāsu ashtātan liyuraw aʿmālahum
That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds
Verse 99:7
فَمَنۡ يَّعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيۡرًا يَّرَهٗؕ
faman yaʿmal mith'qāla dharratin khayran yarahu
So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it
Verse 99:8
وَمَنۡ يَّعۡمَلۡ مِثۡقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَّرَهٗࣖ
waman yaʿmal mith'qāla dharratin sharran yarahu
And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it
