Surah Al-Qadr (Arabic: سورة Al-Qadr, "The Power") is the 97 chapter (surah) of the Qur'an, containing 5 verses (ayahs). It is classified as a Meccan Surah, meaning it is historically understood to have been revealed during the Meccan Period (610–622 CE) of the prophecy.

Text and Translation
Verse 97:1
اِنَّا٘ اَنۡزَلۡنٰهُ فِيۡ لَيۡلَةِ الۡقَدۡرِۚۙ
innā anzalnāhu fī laylati l-qadri
Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree
Verse 97:2
وَمَا٘ اَدۡرٰىكَ مَا لَيۡلَةُ الۡقَدۡرِؕ
wamā adrāka mā laylatu l-qadri
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree
Verse 97:3
لَيۡلَةُ الۡقَدۡرِ ۙ خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ اَلۡفِ شَهۡرٍؕؔ
laylatu l-qadri khayrun min alfi shahrin
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months
Verse 97:4
تَنَزَّلُ الۡمَلٰٓئِكَةُ وَالرُّوۡحُ فِيۡهَا بِاِذۡنِ رَبِّهِمۡ مِّنۡ كُلِّ اَمۡرٍۙۛ
tanazzalu l-malāikatu wal-rūḥu fīhā bi-idh'ni rabbihim min kulli amrin
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter
Verse 97:5
سَلٰمٌࣞۛ هِيَ حَتّٰي مَطۡلَعِ الۡفَجۡرِࣖ
salāmun hiya ḥattā maṭlaʿi l-fajri
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn
