Surah Al-Kauthar (Arabic: سورة Al-Kauthar, "The Abundance") is the 108 chapter (surah) of the Qur'an, containing 3 verses (ayahs). It is classified as a Meccan Surah, meaning it is historically understood to have been revealed during the Meccan Period (610–622 CE) of the prophecy.

Text and Translation

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm
Verse 108:1
اِنَّا٘ اَعۡطَيۡنٰكَ الۡكَوۡثَرَؕ‏
innā aʿṭaynāka l-kawthara
Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar
Verse 108:2
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانۡحَرۡؕ‏
faṣalli lirabbika wa-in'ḥar
So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone]
Verse 108:3
اِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الۡاَبۡتَرُࣖ‏
inna shāni-aka huwa l-abtaru
Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off
