Surah At-Takathur (Arabic: سورة At-Takathur, "The Rivalry in World Increase") is the 102 chapter (surah) of the Qur'an, containing 8 verses (ayahs). It is classified as a Meccan Surah, meaning it is historically understood to have been revealed during the Meccan Period (610–622 CE) of the prophecy.

Text and Translation
Verse 102:1
اَلۡهٰىكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُۙ
alhākumu l-takāthuru
Competition in [worldly] increase diverts you
Verse 102:2
حَتّٰي زُرۡتُمُ الۡمَقَابِرَؕ
ḥattā zur'tumu l-maqābira
Until you visit the graveyards
Verse 102:3
كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَۙ
kallā sawfa taʿlamūna
No! You are going to know
Verse 102:4
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوۡفَ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَؕ
thumma kallā sawfa taʿlamūna
Then no! You are going to know
Verse 102:5
كَلَّا لَوۡ تَعۡلَمُوۡنَ عِلۡمَ الۡيَقِيۡنِؕ
kallā law taʿlamūna ʿil'ma l-yaqīni
No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty
Verse 102:6
لَتَرَوُنَّ الۡجَحِيۡمَۙ
latarawunna l-jaḥīma
You will surely see the Hellfire
Verse 102:7
ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيۡنَ الۡيَقِيۡنِۙ
thumma latarawunnahā ʿayna l-yaqīni
Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty
Verse 102:8
ثُمَّ لَتُسۡـَٔلُنَّ يَوۡمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيۡمِࣖ
thumma latus'alunna yawma-idhin ʿani l-naʿīmi
Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure
